FY2016 Funding Commitments - Wave 7
August 11, 2016

In the last several weeks, USAC has released seven waves of funding commitments for Funding Year 2016 applications. These first waves include over $150 million in commitments for approved applications for all service types and at all discount levels. Open the attached Excel spreadsheet to view the latest Wave Report from USAC. You can find this report and future Wave Reports on the USAC Schools and Libraries website under Search Tools. You will not have to access this report every time a wave is released to see if you have been funded. The main contact listed on your Form 471 should receive an email notification that a Funding Commitment Decision Letter (FCDL) has been issued for an application.

As with many other steps in the E-rate process, FCDLs are now paperless and no paper FCDLs will be mailed starting with FY2016. Once you see that you have been funded, your next step is to log into the E-rate Productivity Center (EPC) and “generate” your FCDL. This FCDL Guide shows how to view your FCDLS in EPC.

Also, don’t forget about the Form 486 – now in EPC. The deadline to submit a Form 486 is 120 days after the FCDL date or 120 days after the Service Start Date – whichever is later. See the USAC website for additional guidance on the Form 486.

If you are not included in these first funding waves, don’t worry! USAC is working to release funding waves on a weekly basis until all funds are exhausted. Be sure to respond promptly to any PIA inquiries to ensure that your application moves quickly through the review process and is funded. See the PIA Review Process Guide to learn how to find and respond to your PIA questions.

Please contact GaE-rate@usg.edu if you have any questions about PIA inquiries or funding commitments.

Thank you.
