Summer E-rate Updates

Good afternoon!
I wanted to share a few updates with you from the E-rate world:
FY2017 Funding - USAC has released Funding Waves 1-5 for FY2017! Wave 6 is scheduled to be released Saturday, July 8. On the day that funding waves are released, the contact person listed on your FCC Form 471 should receive an email notification that a Funding Commitment Decision Letter (FCDL) is waiting in the E-rate Productivity Center (EPC). To access your FCDL, log into EPC and look in the Notifications section of your Landing Page.
FCC Form 486 not yet available - The next step after receiving your FCDL is to submit an FCC Form 486. Unfortunately, the 486 module for FY2017 FRNs is not yet functional in EPC. I will send out an email to the list when the 486 becomes available.
FY2017 PIA - Remember to respond promptly to any PIA requests. Typically, you have 15 days to respond or request a single, 7-day extension of the original deadline. If you have not responded after 15 days, USAC may act on the information they already have to make a funding decision – which could result in a denial. Please let us know if you need assistance responding to any PIA requests.
FY2018 FCC Form 470 now available - The FY2018 FCC Form 470 is now available in EPC. If you are ready to begin the procurement process for FY2018 services (July 1, 2018 - June 30, 2019), you can now post a Form 470 in EPC.
E-rate Workshop - We hope to see you next week at GAMEIS! We will be hosting a pre-conference workshop on Wednesday, July 12 from 9:00am - 12:00pm in Room 103. This workshop will focus on E-rate basics including - program rules, eligible services, the application process, competitive bidding and how to navigate EPC. If you are new to the E-rate program or in need of a refresher, this workshop is for you!
