Next Steps for FY2017 E-rate
May 16, 2017

Are you wondering what to do now that the FY2017 Application Filing Window is closed? USAC’s latest News Brief outlines next steps for the 2017 funding year. Here are a few highlights from the News Brief:

  1. Review your FCC Form 471. If you think you made an error on your certified FCC Form 471, submit a RAL modification in EPC. Here’s a guide on how to submit modifications.

  2. Prepare for PIA review. All PIA inquiries will come through EPC in your News Feed. An email will also be sent to the contact person identified on your FCC Form 471 to notify you of PIA questions. It is important to respond promptly to any PIA requests. Generally, you have 15 days to respond or request an extension.

  3. Monitor your contact email and EPC account. If the contact person identified on your FCC Form 471 has changed, use a RAL modification to update the contact information. It is important that this information is correct so you do not miss any news related to your application.

  4. Document Retention. E-rate rules require applicants to keep all pertinent documents for a period of at least ten years after the latter of the last day of the applicable funding year or the service delivery deadline for the funding request.

As always, please email GaE-rate@usg.edu if you have any questions related to your FY2017 application.

Thank you.
